Once upon a time when Coca-Cola was not a brand...
"If I could get $25,000, I would spend $24,000 advertising and the remainder in making Coca-Cola. Then we would all be rich" - John Pemberton
Pemberton was right, and when Asa Candler, bought the rights to the formula and began to advertising Coca-Cola into what today is the worlds best-know product and global icon.
Did you know that Candler bought the rights for about $2,300? Just nuts. Also, a shout out to Frank Robinson (Pemberton's book keeper) for designing the Coca-Cola logo and flowing script that we all recognize so well.
Love the quote from Pemberton. He knew what he was doing when he initially marketed his invention. Thank you for the post!
